  • How to setup LED lights to work with Peak Level at Ableton Live?

    Hi!
I would like to know if you guys could help me through this.
I want that the LED lights up when the channel volume reaches 1db, for example.
    How could I do that?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

I'm not sure to exactly understand your question, but I'll try an answer:
I don't think it is possible to send an audio level as MIDI or OSC event (unless you're using Max4Live).
But if you do, open a Quick Look window on the message to see the extent of the values received.
Then go to the scalings page (Command-F), and restrict the input min / max to what you're interested in (should be something like min=0.9 and max=1.0), and check the Cap checkbox. The Cap button will limit the event triggering if the input value is located only in the input range (0.9-1.0).

Finally, use a OSC Routing event to send a message to the LED.
If you need more details, or if you feel the answer is not accurate, please let me know.

    Best,
    Cam
