  • MIDI to keystroke

    Hi

I've got a midi signal being received by Osculator (from Qlab) and I want to output a keystroke, to trigger a cuestack on MagicQ. Any ideas whether this is possible? I've tried setting the pitch, velocity and trigger to the keystroke, both separately and together, with no joy.

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

    Hi Mobes,

What kind of MIDI signal is it exactly?

@Cam - It's a music midi signal (rather than MSC)

        Hello Mobes!

I am sorry but there is no such thing as a music midi signal.
I guess from your first post that you are receiving MIDI Note messages.

Please have a look at this forum post to know how to use incoming /midi/note messages in OSCulator.
Once you have done the demux trick, attach a Key Combo or Keycode event at the trigger parameter of the MIDI note you are interested in. When the MIDI Note is played, your key combo will be triggered.
