  • Change treshhold of a Midi Control Change command

    Hi

I've connected my audio mixing desk to my computer via midi. With the mixing desk I send Midi Control Change commands when I move channel faders. I see in OSCulator that the command are being recieved. I've assigned control change commands to Key Combos. That works so far.

When I monitor the fader action in Quick Look I see that the key combo is being activated when the value increases over 0.5. That equates to -15dB on the fader of my mixing desk. I would like to confgure OSCulator that this treshold value is much less than 0.5. Could somebody help me?

    Thanks.

    Hi Harals,

This is easy to do with a bit of experiment:

    - Open a Quick Look window and switch to the scalings view.

    - Locate the incoming midi message, and change the parameter in the "In. max" to something lower.

For example, if you change it from 1 to 0.5, the trigger threshold will change from 0.5 to 0.25.

Try with some values until you reach the desired behavior.

    Best Regards,

    Cam

      Hi

Many thanks for your quick answer. I'll try it the next time when I have this mixing desk available.
