  • Wii DJ Hero Controller

We got a new toy to fiddle around - DJ Hero is out and its controller is ready for abuse.

Any support in Osculator for the Wii-Version in sight?

    Hi,

Do you know this controller is connected to the Wii?

Is it a wireless connexion like the other extensions?

It would be cool to support that controller indeed :-)

      hey camille,

thanks for making osculator - awesome tool...

the DJ Hero Wii controller is connected to a Wii remote. so it should be not much difference to the Wii Guitar Hero controller.

        Hi!

Today I bought the BAND HERO package (RVL-006 EUR) that includes guitar, mic & drums.

Guitar works ok and Drums also do great. I have noticed that they have two DIN sockets labelled Midi IN and Midi OUT !!! They seem not to be pressure sensitive, I'm OK with that.

But after playing a few minutes with DJ Hero I couldn't help also buying it. It is such a funny controller... Besides, my musical taste is so much close to the tracks included in the game...

+1 in kindly "begging" for support in this controller...

I'd add my request here too. I've tried tapping the Wiimote connected to the DJ Hero controller via OSCulator, [hid] in Pd and aka.wiimote in Max/MSP and have gotten no results. Are there any plans to implement this in future OSCulator builds?

          thanks for the great software!

            Hey hdez,

I'm having a look at this.

Would you like to help me test when I have something working?

            Best,

              Hello,

If someone wants to try, I have written some code that should work with the DJ Hero Controller.

Please write me at camille at osculator dot net.

              Cheers,

              Cam

                  Hi All,

just wanted to confirm that my Wii DJ Hero Controller works fine with Native Instruments Traktor on my iMac 24". i am able to scratch a track with the platter by mapping the 'jog scratch / tempo bend' setting in the preferences. the other controls like the crossfader and knobs are working fine as well.

                  thanks camille - well done!
