  • Multiple Wiimotes to different channels in Ableton

I'm working on a piece that (hopefully) has the components of a wiimote wired to the bodies of a few dancers, so ideally they should all be controlling different sounds. The problem is that I can't quite seem to figure out how to send different wiimotes to different channels in ableton. Is there a way to specify what channel wiimote information goes to, or will I have to use multiple computers to control them (which is obviously not ideal)?

    Any help would be great.

    Thanks,

    Sam

    Hi Sam,

Please use the last column named "Chan." and assign a different channel number to your MIDI events.

I've tried that. Maybe there is something I'm missing, but Ableton is not picking up other channels other than 1 from OSCulator. Rather, even if they are set to different channels, all MIDI signals are still processed on all the separate channels instead of being separated by number. Do I need to change anything around on Ableton?

I see, have you tried to select a specific MIDI Channel in Live's I/O popup ?

That worked fine, thank you very much.
