OSCulator not outputting to MOTU interface on Mac

I purchased a small MOTU USB MIDI interface. It’s receiving midi information and OSCulator is reacting to it. But OSCulator isn’t sending midi information. In the devices, I see all of the ports of the interface available and I have checked them all for both input and output because I want them going everywhere.
is there a configuration step I’m missing?

Hello Doug,

Running macOS 13.5, I have managed to reproduce the problem you described.

I have set up a MIDISPORT 2x2 USB MIDI interface.
It is able to receive data into OSCulator, but I am unable to send data to the physical output.

I reproduced the same issue with MidiPipe (http://www.subtlesoft.square7.net/MidiPipe.html). I set up MidiPipe in order to receive MIDI from "OSCulator Out" and send to the physical interface Out-A. Nothing goes out. However, if I choose a physical MIDI input (In-A) and pipe it to a physical output (Out-B), it works.

I will investigate more.

Hi Doug,

I found the problem was a bug in OSCulator.
An incorrect timestamp is given to the MIDI messages on output.

I will come back to you with a new version that fixes that problem.

Oh. I wonder if that was my problem with rtpMIDI as well. I received messages that the tie stamp was too far in the future.
