  • how to create midi toggles (mute on/off or cycle on/off in ableton)

    hello again folks, next question

using osculator and ableton live, so:

how to create a toggle button to turn on/off a channel or turn on/off cycle mode (transport).

when i create a toggle button in the editor, and try to rout it to a midi note, i always have to push the button twice to turn that on or off. so still not able to see on the ipad, if this particular function is turned on or off (by pressing the toggle button twice, the mark disappears).

any ideas? there are templates for livecontrol demonstrating this (and db metering as well) but couldnt find any solution for osculator yet.

thanks in advance for your answers.

    Hey Mr Mukke,

It seems Live handles Notes differently than Control Changes.

You should try with a MIDI CC instead of a MIDI Note (not MIDI CC Toggle, because the toggle is already included in the button, use this only if you have a plain button that's not a toggle).

    Best,
