Hello there! I'm a new owner of an OSCulator license for the purpose of using Wii Guitar Hero controllers in Clone Hero. I've so far been using key codes to get inputs but I'd prefer to use the controllers with the HID option. Going into the preferences I have tried to check the "Install the Virtual Joystick kernel extension" option but after it asks for a password, it briefly flashes a check mark before disappearing. I've tried disabling security with recovery mode, but all to no avail.
I know kernels have been wonky since macOS Catalina and looking at the OSCulator forms, it appears that this has been a known issue since at least last year. I'm wondering if there has been any progress in getting the kernel extension working recently? I'm currently on Big Sur if that helps at all. Thanks in advance!
