  • Osculator shows green light on 'x' axis but when I 'roll' the Wiimote ??...help

Basically I'm intending to use the wiimote to track left & right (head) movements only. But I only get a green light on 'x' when I 'roll' the wii... why is this?
    Any help would be appreciated

The reason is that accelerometers respond to gravity force.
When the Wiimote is rotated on a plane that is perpendicular to the force of gravity, no effort is applied on the accelerometers.
The only change you see is the acceleration force that happens when the rotation reaches a extreme position.

If you want to have a value that represents some kind of orientation, you should use a Motion Plus extension and look for the yaw parameter. The is a drawback, though. This parameter suffers from a slight drifting over time, but you can reset it to an absolute position by using the Motion Plus Reset event.
