min max values

When creating a new document or control min/max values do not show up in the scalings page, they're just blank and I can't manually enter numbers either.

However,if i open a template from the Osculator sample library those min/max values are there.

Registering a new control such as a fader into this new template still gives me no min/max values.

Does that make sense? What am I missing?

Hi!

You can still change the range by assigning any event to the message. When no event is assigned, input and output ranges are not displayed

In version 2.12, I decided it was confusing to be able to change ranges when no event is assigned.

I had feedback from some users that like you were even more confused by this new behavior, therefore I will revert it to the previous one in the next version (2.12.7).

so i have another question..which has probably been covered..

lets say i have a fader or a rotary control and its value goes from 0 - 6. how do i display those numbers in a label?
