  • wiimote: how to pitch the pitch with pitch?

    HI!

    I'm new to using osculator and i've got a question:

    How do you map the wiimote so that you can use it kind of like a theremin?

    Ive got Logic pro that i hope i can use with this. I want that when i increase the angle of the wiimote, the pitch of a software instrument goes up. How do you do this?

    So far i've only managed to control miscellaneous things like change the instrument(useless)!

    Any tip of an instrument that works with this? Or how to map it to a like "master modulation wheel"?

    Really thankful for help!

    Hi Luddig,

    First you need to send a midi note via OSCulator, use the samples preset provided with Osculator

    Once you get a note playing in Logic you will need a sound generator.

    I suggest you use the EXS24 with a blank instrument, just insert EXS24 on any virtual instrument track in Logic.

    when no instrument/ sample is loaded in EXS24 it plays a sine wave wich works fine for an "onde martenot" emulation

    here are the few things to tweek on EXS24:

    set "pitch bend" range to "12 linked"

    add a small amount of vibrato via modulation :

    dest = Pitch

    Via = Maximum

    Src = LFO 1

    then adjust LFO 1 speed and the cursor modulation ( green and orange cursor)

    have fun
