01v96v2 cabling

Hi,

I have an 01v96V2 and a Macbook running Studio Manager that has been working fine for me. The Mac is hooked up to the 01v96 via a USB cable.

Now I'm trying to control the board with an iPad but I can't seem to get my head around how it works. I bought the TouchOSC app and have Osculator installed (to test drive before buying). For testing, I downloaded the beatmachine layout, load it up with Osculator. On the iPad, I used the "LiveControl iPad" layout. Then I selected "Mixer" and move the faders and saw the messages being received by Osculator.

Here I'm stuck and not sure how to proceed.

Do I need to wire up a MIDI cable from my Mac to the mixer?

Do I need to run Studio Manager for this to work?

Any pointer to get this going would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Henry,

I think the 01v96V2 publishes two MIDI ports via USB.
You need to tell OSCulator to output its MIDI to the mixer.
Open the Parameters window, go to I/O and select a MIDI that matches your mixer (I don't know the specific name).

You should then be able to send MIDI messages to control the faders.
