  • port selection doesn't get saved?

    Hey all,

Seems as though when I set up my wiimote to output to port 12000, and save, when I re-open it's set to the default of searching for open ports, in my case 8000. What's the deal?

    Hi Primspecs,

I seems I can't reproduce this issue, could you please be more specific?

    Best,
    Camille

The problem is that any app broadcasting OSC will take precedence over my established port number. So I've set it up to use port 12000 for outbound communication, and if I open it with no other applications open, it stays there. But the second I open MadMapper (or any other app broadcasting OSC) my saved settings will change to the address of said app's OSC inbound port. In this case, 12000 gets replaced by 8000.

        OK, I got it.
This is because your OSC target is set to be the Default Target.
When an OSC device is discovered on the network, the default target is configured with this device.

Just set the Default Target to anything else, like an empty slot.

        Best,
        Cam

Oh ok, so slot 1 is always the default? I can just set it to slot 2 then? Thank you.
